** On the internet and in the media you will find many adverts re. “Leaseback”, ( called in France “Residence de Tourisme”). This is basically extended Timeshare. It is an excellent investment if you are a Resident French income tax payer, (who can write off the property against their income tax), but is extremely bad if you are not. As a group we actually build “Residence de Tourime”, but never market to overseas investors. Many notaires refuse to sign/approve this type of investment for overseas clients.
